The SC has dismissed a petition seeking to direct the EC to debar Rahul Gandhi from contesting the LS polls after he had “voluntarily acquired British nationality.” Last week, a petition was filed in the SC seeking direction to the Centre and the EC to debar the Congress president from contesting the LS election till the issue of his citizenship is decided.
