The Supreme Court on Friday vacated the interim protection extended to former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar against arrest by CBI and gave him seven days to seek legal remedy. Kumar, accused of destroying evidence in Saradha chit fund scam, had earlier appeared before CBI officials for questioning in Shillong but the probe agency said that he remained elusive.
