The Supreme Court issued a notice to Congress president Rahul Gandhi over his remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a contempt petition filed by Meenakshi Lekhi. The court sought Rahul's response by April 22. The SC also lashed out at the Election Commission for acting toothless when prominent leaders like Yogi Adityanath and Mayawati made appeals for the votes on religious lines.
